One coin features the Vulcan salute, a hand gesture that was popularised by the original 1960s television series, alongside the words "Live long and prosper".
The gesture, made famous by Leonard Nimoy's character Spock, involves raising the hand with the middle and ring fingers parted.
The other coin shows four spacecrafts spanning different eras of the franchise.
The original series first aired in September 1966, and has since grown into one of the most influential science fiction franchises.
Following the end of the original series it was rebooted as a film in 1979, and over the years has inspired countless comics, books and toys.
Twelve subsequent series of the show have since aired, totalling more than 950 episodes and 14 movies that took more than $2bn (£1.4bn) at the box office.
Ruth Henriquez, vice-president of products and experiences at Paramount which owns the franchise, said: "Star Trek has one of the most dedicated collector communities in the world, and these coins are a tribute to 60 years of the franchise."
The Mint, based in Llantrisant, south Wales, has featured many coins in the past year that has ranged from the 100 years of the Grand Prix in Britain to the 50th anniversary of Aardman Animations.
In 2024 it also released a series of Star Wars 50p coins, including one of the Millennium Falcon in time for May the 4th, which is known internationally as Star Wars Day among fans of the films.
