Al-Sharaa praises Trump’s decision to remove Syria from terrorism list

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa said lifting US economic sanctions alone would have limited impact unless Syria is also removed from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism. He said the designation was outdated and restricts the country’s recovery.
