Russian politician sentenced to 11 years for opposing war in Ukraine

Lev Shlosberg, a senior member of the Yabloko party, was sentenced to 11 years and one month in prison on Monday for “discrediting” and spreading “false information” about the Russian military. The charges come in the lead-up to next month’s parliamentary elections.
