23-year-old Claudia Jaczyk was from the Newtownabbey area

The crash happened on the Ballyrobin Road - one of the main roads to Belfast International Airport - just before 08:00 GMT on Saturday.

Jaczyk, who was driving a black Citroen C1, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police said Jaczyk was from the Newtownabbey area.

The driver of the bus, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital "with serious injuries which are not believed to be life threatening".

A spokesperson for Translink confirmed on Saturday that one of the company's airport bus services was involved in the collision.

They said they were working closely with the police and other relevant authorities as their investigation continues.

"Our thoughts are with all those affected by this incident. The safety and well-being of our passengers and staff is our priority," the firm added.

The Ballyrobin Road, which was closed for a time, re-opened on Sunday.

Police appealed to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.
