What started with just 20 Twitch subscriptions has now turned into a full-blown streamer drama between Nmplol and Zoil. The whole thing began after Zoil admitted that he anonymously gifted himself 20 subs during a livestream.

Soon after, both creators started sharing their side, and now it's become a back-and-forth that has stretched across livestreams, Discord messages, and social media. The argument didn't happen all at once either. It kept building over a few days. First, there was the clip showing the self-gifting. Then Zoil explained why he did it during Ludwig's Streamer Games 2026. After that, screenshots of Nmplol's Discord messages started making rounds before he finally talked about everything on his own stream.

If you're wondering why these two creators are now going at each other, here's the full story.

Zoil admitted gifting himself 20 Twitch subscriptions and defended the decision

The controversy began after a clip from Zoil's July 30, 2026 livestream started making the rounds online. In the video, the British streamer was seen anonymously gifting 20 subscriptions to his own Twitch channel.

Later, while attending Ludwig's Streamer Games 2026, Zoil openly confirmed that he had done it.

He made it clear he had no plans to apologize."Bro, I ain't apologizing for that... I was trying to start a Hype Train. It is what it is," he said.Zoil didn't stop there. During the same response, he also took aim at fellow streamer Nmplol for privately messaging him earlier that day and asking him to explain what had happened. Calling the message "weird," Zoil repeatedly referred to Nmplol as a "bum" before moving on from the topic.

Nmplol says he wanted answers before speaking publicly

The discussion didn't end with Zoil's comments. On August 1, screenshots of Nmplol's Discord messages appeared on X, showing how he viewed the situation.According to the OTK member, anonymously gifting subscriptions to trigger a Hype Train could mislead viewers into believing other people were already contributing."Gifting yourself anonymously to bait real viewers into thinking a hype train is happening... It's pathetic,"he said.Nick also questioned why asking privately for clarification made him the bad guy. In the same messages, he argued that taking responsibility would have been a better response than attacking someone who simply wanted an explanation.

Nmplol says he never accused Zoil of botting

Nick expanded on the situation during his August 2 livestream. He explained that his private message wasn't meant to accuse Zoil of using bots or artificially boosting numbers."I wasn't accusing you of botting. I was simply asking you, in private, what happened so I wouldn't go live and make a big deal about it."He also said he had tried to avoid making the situation public before getting a response. Instead, according to him, Zoil chose to address the message on stream and call him a "bum."As of now, Zoil has not publicly responded to Nmplol's latest livestream comments.
