MrBeast’s $1 million grocery store video breaks his YouTube record
MrBeast revealed that the new video was his “most viewed video ever in 24 hours.” He also said that more than 10,000 comments called it his best video yet.
The video had already passed 70 million views during its first day.
It has since continued to grow and has now crossed the 125 million-view mark. The video is more than an hour long, but viewers stayed for a large part of it. MrBeast said the upload had already collected more than one billion minutes of total watch time. The average viewer watched for more than 20 minutes. The challenge itself had started earlier in 2026. MrBeast bought an entire grocery store and asked contestants to live inside it.
The original winner was supposed to receive $250,000 for being the last person to stay. After 67 days, four contestants were still inside the store. Instead of ending the challenge, MrBeast changed the rules. He offered to refill the store and increased the prize to $1 million if the four contestants could clear all the food.
How did the contestants win $1 million after 202 days?
The contestants had to deal with about 4.3 million calories of food. They did not have to eat everything themselves.
MrBeast created different ways for them to reduce the amount of food.
Guests were brought in to help eat some of the food. Some food was also donated through challenges. The goal was to make sure as little food as possible went to waste. After 202 days inside the grocery store, the contestants finally completed the challenge. That means they spent more than six and a half months living inside the store.Almost all of the 4.3 million calories were cleared. Only 6,614 calories were left as waste.
The four contestants then won the $1 million prize. The huge response to the video has also made it another big moment for MrBeast on YouTube. Even after 17 years of making videos, he does not think he has reached his peak.“Even though I’ve been making content for 17 years now I still think my best days are ahead,” MrBeast said. The record-breaking views show that his large challenges continue to attract millions of viewers. With the video still gaining views, its final total could become even bigger.
