Long before Michael B. Jordan added an Oscar to his list of accolades for Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, the actor owned a private retreat in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills. The four-bedroom residence, tucked away on Woodrow Wilson Drive in Upper Nichols Canyon’s “celebrity row”, is now back on the market, carrying an asking price of $14 million.Jordan acquired the property in an off-market transaction in September 2019 for $5.8 million, according to Mansion Global. He sold it in May 2022 for $6.95 million. The house changed hands again in July 2025, when Joelle Hutner and Jesse Rudolph, founders of design and development studio Ome Dezin, purchased it for $5.25 million. The residence has since undergone an extensive redesign, giving the 1997 property a warmer, more contemporary character while retaining its original architectural identity.

Designed by architect Jeffrey Mills, the house was conceived as a meeting point between modernism, brutalism and the softer aesthetic of a French country home. Set across a private acre, the property combines expansive interiors with landscaped outdoor spaces. For Ome Dezin, the existing architecture was not something to be erased but a starting point for the renovation.“The existing architecture and surrounding landscape were the key inspirations for our design direction,” the studio told Robb Report in an email.
Hutner and Rudolph, longtime friends who founded Ome Dezin in 2020, have previously worked on the restoration of an original A. Quincy Jones residence in Brentwood and a Tudor-style cottage once owned by burlesque performer Lili St. Cyr.
The challenge was making a large space feel intimate

The redesign reportedly took approximately a year and a half. One of the property's defining characteristics, its considerable volume, also presented the designers with their biggest challenge.“The home has a lot of volume and was used as an art gallery before we acquired it, so our biggest challenge was to add warmth, depth, and a sense of intimacy to each space,” Ome Dezin said.Natural colours and materials now run throughout the interiors. In the great room, an asymmetrical brushed stainless-steel fireplace becomes the focal point beneath exposed beams and clerestory windows. The dining room features an integrated wet bar, while the library is anchored by a built-in L-shaped sofa, creating a more relaxed space within the expansive floor plan.

The kitchen has been fitted with a La Cornue range and a professional pizza oven, along with a natural stone backsplash. The combination reflects the property's broader design approach, contemporary luxury without completely abandoning the warmth of the original structure. The home includes four bedrooms, five full bathrooms and a powder room. A ground-floor guest suite opens directly onto the pool and gardens. The primary suite features a fireplace, terrace and dressing room, while the adjoining bathroom is particularly striking, with a freestanding marble bathtub and a shower clad in swirling blue-and-white marble. Two additional guest bedrooms each have private bathrooms, balconies and walk-in closets.

The property's outdoor spaces have been developed as an extension of the interiors. Alongside the swimming pool and spa are a fire-pit lounge, outdoor kitchen and tiered waterfall. One of the most distinctive additions is a cubic pavilion inspired by Doug Aitken's Mirage, the artist's mirror-clad structure in the Southern California desert.Wrapped in reflective material, the pavilion mirrors the surrounding landscape and houses a sauna as well as a chartreuse-tiled bathroom.

Jordan's former home has therefore undergone a notable transformation since his ownership. The actor paid $5.8 million for the property in 2019 and sold it for $6.95 million in 2022. After its subsequent acquisition by Ome Dezin's founders for $5.25 million in 2025, the renovated residence has returned to the market for $14 million. The listing is being handled by Charles Derenne, Silk Fernald and Dominique Madden of the ACME Team at Serhant.
