French police fire tear gas at migrants on beach

French police used tear gas to disperse migrants attempting to cross the English Channel to Britain from France’s northern coast. In a separate incident, three people, including a child, died attempting the crossing after an overcrowded dinghy carrying 105 people ran into trouble.
