Former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has sold his historic Maryland home for $6 million, ending another connection to the city after 18 seasons with the NFL team.The stone mansion is located in Owings Mills, a suburb about 20 minutes from Baltimore.
According to Mansion Global, Harbaugh had owned the property since November 2013, when he bought it for $3 million through a trust, according to PropertyShark records.The sale means Harbaugh received exactly twice the amount he paid for the home. He had put the property on the market in May for $6.9 million before it eventually sold for $6 million.Harbaugh bought the home in the same year that he led the Ravens to their second Super Bowl victory.
He remained with the team for 18 seasons before being fired at the end of last season. The Ravens finished the season 8-9 and missed the playoffs.
Moving on from Baltimore
The 63-year-old coach has since taken up a new role with the New York Giants. The team hired him as its head coach in January, and he signed a five-year contract reportedly worth $20 million per season.With the new job now under way, Harbaugh and his family have also moved to New Jersey, where the Giants are based.
The Baltimore Sun reported last month that the family had moved into a home in the Garden State.The Maryland mansion therefore became one of the remaining links between Harbaugh and the city where he spent nearly two decades coaching the Ravens. Details about the buyer of the property are unknown. The buyer was represented by JoAnn Rostek of Cummings & Co. Realtors.
A 1905 stone mansion
The property dates back to 1905 and sits on nearly nine wooded acres.
According to its listing, the historic stone house was renovated by Maryland-based Delbert Adams Construction Group.The traditional-style home covers more than 9,100 square feet across four levels. It has five bedrooms, including a primary suite on the second floor with its own sitting room.The property also has a detached carriage house, which provides enough space to add a sixth bedroom. The carriage house has its own kitchen, family room and full bathroom, giving it a separate living space within the property.A loft above the four-car garage adds another flexible area. According to the listing, the space could be used as a gym, office or guest suite.
Outdoor include pool, patios
The home also offers several outdoor spaces. The rear of the house opens onto a bluestone patio with a sitting area and fireplace.Another patio leads to the pool area. The outdoor space includes a hot tub and a pool house, adding to the property's recreational facilities.The combination of the historic stone exterior, large wooded grounds and extensive interior space made the property a sizeable home for Harbaugh during his years in Maryland.Harbaugh's ownership also covered a major period in his Ravens career. He purchased the mansion after leading Baltimore to its Super Bowl victory in 2013 and continued living in the area through the rest of his tenure with the team. His departure from the Ravens came after the 2025 season, when the team finished with eight wins and nine losses.
