A mild earthquake struck parts of New Jersey and New York on Saturday night, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).The magnitude 3.0 quake hit at 10:18 pm and was centered about six miles underground in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, at a depth of 10 kilometers (40.865°N, 74.073°W).
People across the area, including parts of metro New York City, reported feeling the tremor.There have been no immediate reports of injuries or damage. Authorities are monitoring the situation.
