Connor Murphy allegedly injected gold believing it gave him ‘special powers’ before Thailand death

Looksmaxxing YouTuber Connor Murphy reportedly became convinced that injecting gold into his body could give him “special powers” in the weeks leading up to his death, according to claims made by fellow content creator Androgenic.

Murphy, 32, died on July 7 after fleeing police and entering a lake near the luxury home he was renting in Thailand’s Samut Prakan province.

Androgenic alleged that Murphy believed consuming or injecting gold would allow him to reach higher levels of consciousness and even connect with other dimensions. He claimed that Murphy eventually began injecting gold as part of what he believed was an experiment.

The creator also alleged that Murphy painted parts of his house with gold and became increasingly unstable. However, police have not linked either finding to the allegations about gold injections or concluded that any substance contributed to his death.Androgenic additionally claimed that Murphy had bipolar disorder and said friends had become increasingly concerned about his behavior in recent weeks.

These claims have also not been officially confirmed by authorities.Murphy built an audience of more than 2.4 million YouTube subscribers through bodybuilding, fitness, and prank videos before later becoming associated with the looksmaxxing community. While claims about Connor Murphy injecting gold and believing it could grant him “special powers” have attracted widespread attention online, they currently remain unverified allegations made by a friend.
